About Neru Health
Neru Health uses AI to tackle one of chronic care’s toughest challenges: helping patients start and stick with treatment, beginning with sleep care. Our conversational AI platform is already live with 3,000+ patients, improving patient outcomes and reducing clinic workload by 45%.
We recently closed our oversubscribed seed round, backed by senior tech leaders from Netflix and Google, leading sleep experts, and digital health VCs. Clinics are onboarding quickly, and we’re hiring founding engineers to help scale from 3,000 to 30,000 patients in the months ahead.

- Optimize database performance and query efficiency
- Continuously improve reliability and observability through enhanced monitoring and alerting
- Collaborate with experts in biomedical AI, machine learning, and infrastructure to build robust healthcare solutions
Tech stack: PostgreSQL, Python, FastAPI, GCP, Leaping AI, Terraform
What You Bring
Your background looks something like:
- Background in engineering at product-driven, early-stage tech companies
- Strong proficiency in Python (incl. async programming)
- Experience designing and optimizing backend systems, not just implementing others’ specs
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code (we build on GCP using Terraform)
